MW Counseling LLC is a mental health counseling practice that takes a Humanistic approach to counseling, focuses on providing client-centered treatment, and emphasizes the client's needs over an intervention-driven agenda. MW Counseling is for those who have felt frustrated with previous counselors because they got the impression that their counselor was not truly listening to what they were saying.
About
Matthew Wisniewski, LPC
I began my career assisting adolescents, who are on the autism spectrum, with their daily living tasks. After one year, I began my internship at a substance abuse agency. After I got my license I began working in community mental health and later changed over to work in private practice. I decided to open my own practice because I believe clients should be able to have a more streamlined therapy experience. At MW Counseling, I am your sole contact for both counseling and administrative needs. From scheduling an initial assessment to terminating services, you will only consult with me.

MW Counseling LLC offers a range of counseling services that supplement person-centered therapy. Additional services include motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, existential therapy, and mindfulness. Your whole treatment at MW Counseling is based off the three core conditions of person-centered therapy:
Empathy
Your counselor has the ability to see the world from the client's perspective.

Your counselor is genuine in session and will not change his persona as it would be an insincere representation of himself.

Faith-Based Encounter Groups Coming Soon!
Starting on April 22, MW Counseling will be hosting weekly, virtual faith-based encounter groups. An encounter group is a type of support group that is facilitated by mental health professionals. I have partnered with Matthew Welich, LPCC to co-facilitate these groups. We have 2 groups on Tuesday (9am and 10am) with the opportunity to expand if the demand is there.
